Life is full of choices. Many decisions we make, we wish that we could undo and start fresh. It is not possible, through our own willpower, to give ourselves a truly new beginning. Jesus Christ, the perfect Son of God, did what we could not do. He paid our sin debt, taking our punishment for sin so that we could have forgiveness of sin and experience new life in Christ. Read below to learn how you can turn your life over to Christ and experience a new beginning through Him.

RECOGNIZE YOUR CONDITION BEFORE GOD

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." 1 John 3:4 ”Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.” Romans 3:10 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one..." No one is good enough to go to Heaven on his own merit. No matter how much good we do, we still fall short.

RECOGNIZE THE PENTALTY

Romans 6:23a “For the wages of sin is death...” Ezekiel 18:20a “The soul that sinneth, it shall die...” Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”Just as there are wages for good, there is punishment for wrong. The penalty for our sin is eternal death in a place called Hell.

REPENT AND TURN TO GOD.

Luke 13:3 “...Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” Acts 3:19a “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out...” 2 Corinthians 7:10 “For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death."Biblical repentance is turning from sin to Christ; this is necessary for salvation.

PLACE YOUR FAITH IN CHRIST ALONE

Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” Romans 6:23b “... But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 10:13 ”For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved...” Christ’s love for us was shown when He died on the cross to pay our sin debt. Everlasting life is a gift available by Jesus‘ death, burial, and resurrection to those who repent and call upon Him in faith.
